NORTH PORT- One teen is dead and another behind bars after a horrific crash in North Port early Saturday morning.
North Port Police responded to a single rollover crash, just after 2:30 Saturday morning. Police say 13 people were inside and on the roof of a 2010 Toyota SUV.
According to police, the driver of the SUV, 19 year old Stephanie Evrard was under the influence, while driving on Joewood Circle and failed to navigate a curve, causing a rollover crash.
Police say a 17 year girl was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene; three others were taken to the hospital, two of them by Bayflite.
Evrard is charged with one count of DUI Manslaughter and three counts of DUI with Personal injury.
