SARASOTA- A death investigation is underway after a body was recovered from North Lido Key Beach, Sunday morning.
Bystanders called to report a body in the water, just before 8:30. According to the Sarasota Fire Department, they responded to a medical emergency. When emergency responders arrived they found the body of a man.
Sarasota Police say it appears he drowned. Criminal Investigation detectives were also on scene, investigating. This investigation is active and ongoing.
