SARASOTA – The Friendship Center in Sarasota is partnering up with SAGE, a nonprofit group advocating for older LGBT members, and StoryCorps to preserve the stories of older generations through project Stonewall OutLoud.

The national effort hopes to inspire Americans of all ages to record personal stories of people within the LGBT community specifically those born before 1969.

The goal of the project is to ensure that today’s generation understands the past in order to continue working on the future.
