SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (SNN) — Riverview High School celebrated more than just homecoming on Friday.
In honor of Teacher Appreciation day, 34 seniors on the football team gave their jerseys to their favorite teachers to wear for the day.
Following a pink-out pep rally, the students broke into small groups with goodybags, hand-written letters, and their jerseys in hand, making their way to each teacher’s classroom.
“Thank you guys for all the hard work you do. Thank you guys for being people that prepare us for the world, that make us ready to go to college, ready to get a job, ready to do whatever we want to do and the challenges that they’ve helped us overcome, help us be prepared for anything,” said a senior on the team.
The Rams play Clearwater Academy International Friday night at Riverview High School at 7:30 p.m.
