SARASOTA – ALSO Youth awarded the school district with the 2019 Community Partner of the Year. The award is given to organizations that increase awareness of for LGBTQ issues.
Jane Goodwin, school board chair says “the district works hard to ensure all students feel safe, respected and included in our schools.” ALSO Youth looks to continue working with school staff to embrace the issues LGBTQ youths face at school.
