NORTH PORT – North Port Police are investigating an aggravated assault that left one person stabbed.
The incident happened just after 5 p.m. near Vivian Road and Cyrus Ave. Detectives say the victim called NPPD and reported she was stabbed by someone she knew. Investigators say a male suspect was taken into custody.
The victim was transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital North Port with non-life threatening injuries. No other details have been released at this time. Stay with SNN for the latest.
