SARASOTA COUNTY,  Fla. (SNN) — Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC) announced a collaboration with local law enforcement agencies during October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

In an effort to shine a light on the importance of addressing domestic violence in our community, SPARCC partnered with the Sarasota Police Department, Venice Police Department, North Port Police Department, and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.

Together, they have displayed ribbon magnets on their patrol cars throughout this month.

The magnets read ‘Stop Domestic Violence’ and ‘Support Survivors,’ serving as symbols of unity and commitment to ending domestic violence in our community.
