SARASOTA – A neighborhood was close down for hours as crew investigated a gas leak.
Sarasota County Fire Department responded to a hazardous material call in the 1700 block of Fortuna St. Spokeswoman for the fire department says a construction crew in the area struck a gas line resulting in the leak.
Crews have been on scene since 2 p.m. to control the leak. No injuries have been reported.
