BRADENTON – The fate of DeSoto Square Mall will be decided in court Thursday morning.

The mall located on 303 301 Boulevard west was purchased back in 2017 for close to $23 million. Lender Romspen U.S. Master Mortgage LP filed a lawsuit saying the new owners still owe $21 million. The mall has continued to lose businesses since the new owners moved in including Sears, Victoria’s Secret, and Macy’s.

The trial is set for 1:30 p.m. in the Manatee County Judicial Center.
