SARASOTA – Get ready to rev your engine! Thunder by the Bay Music and Motorcycle fesival runs this Friday through Sunday at the Sarasota Fairgrounds.

The festival benefits Suncoast Charities for Children. Director of the Festival, Lucy Nicandri says events like these are what help generate revenue annually for the charity.

“We provide funding to support five local nonprofit agencies serving over five thousand special needs clients of all ages. Since this festival began 1.6 million dollars have been raised,” says Nicandri. “So this is a big fundraiser for Suncoast Charities for Children and we want everyone to come on out, there’s something for everyone, and please be generous.”

This year’s festival includes continuous live music, a craft beer garden, FMX, and BMX freestyle acts, more than 100 vendors, two bike shows, food and much more.

“We have 11 bands, we have a tribute band to Def Leppard, Santana, 38 Special, Bad Company, Heart, Led Zepplin, and then, of course, our headliner Warrant on Saturday night,” says Nicandri.

Rossiter’s Harley Davidson General Manager, Scott Kessler helps put on the bike show.

“Well we got a 17 class bike show everything from trikes to sportsters, antiques to even the big baggers with the twenty-three, twenty-four-inch front wheels,” says Kessler. “Its everything, everything is represented. It’s a really cool show, 100 plus motorcycles will be on display.”

The festival will also include a motorcycle charity poker run, offering cash prizes that will take place Sunday morning ending at the fairgrounds.
