BRADENTON – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that left one person dead.

FHP reports the crash happened on the intersection of U.S. 41 & 30th Avenue East Saturday morning just three a.m.

Investigators say a Dodge Duran was traveling southbound on US–41 when the driver suddenly hit a concrete median cutting through three northbound lanes. The car then hit a traffic light support.

FHP has not released the name of victim as the family is has yet to be notified.
