SARASOTA – For 23 years Circus Sarasota has dazzled and amazed Suncoast residents under the Big Top with innovative acts not seen anywhere else. Pedro Reis & Dolly Jacobs-Reis founded The Circus Arts Conservatory and both come from a long line of circus performers.

Pedro says year after year they bring new acts to the table with performers from all over the world.

“Well every year we bring in new acts, and a lot of the acts are actually debuting in America for the first time,” said Pedro. “We got aerialist, we’ve got acrobats, we’ve got balances. We just got a variety of 10 different acts and it’s just fantastic.”

Circus Sarasota ringmaster Joseph Bauer Jr. is a nine generation member of one of Switzerland’s oldest Circus families. He says the uniqueness of these circus acts that keep audiences coming back.

“This is the traditional European style circus with a very modern flair something like you’re probably won’t see anywhere in the United States for sure,” said Bauer. “It is a great show, something for the whole family. Like Pedro mentioned there’s dogs, there’s aerialist, there are world class gymnasts in our show.”

Circus Sarasota will be saying goodbye until next year with their final show of the season Sunday evening.
