SARASOTA – Sarasota Memorial Hospital is reporting their second patient to die from complications related to COVID–19.
The Herald–Tribune is reporting Tom Sheehan died of COVID–19 Saturday evening at the hospital. His son Kevin Sheehan confirmed his father’s death in an interview the Miami– Herald.
In a Facebook post Kevin describes the gut–wrenching phone call with his father Friday night, saying his goodbyes over the phone because he couldn’t visit his father in the hospital.
SNN reached out to Kevin, but was not immediately available for comment at this time. Tom is the third person to die of the disease in Sarasota County.
