SARASOTA, Fla. (SNN TV) — Students have only a few days left to register for Ringling College’s Virtual Reality Hackathon.

In a press release, Ringling College said it’s hosting the three-day VR and Healthcare Hackathon Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. until Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. The college and 25 other universities will be represented by teams of three students from both undergraduate and graduate schools.

For three days, the teams will work together to come up with an idea or product to support and improve healthcare professionals’ needs.

In 2019, the Virtual Reality Development program collaborated with Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa to develop virtual reality animations to educate patients and produce training videos for physicians.

Teams and individuals should apply by Nov. 30.
