SARASOTA – A boy with down-syndrome, Cameron Cody turned 11 this year.

Cameron says he wanted to water slide with his friends, but of course, the coronavirus pandemic shut that down.

His parents, Jeanne and Randy say he misses his friends.

So, they planned a birthday parade for him with all his friends.

His parents say they were overwhelmed with joy on his birthday.

“Everyone has stepped up the plate and has agreed to pull off the surprise,” Cameron’s mom, Jeanne Cody, said. “And now I’m going to cry because Cameron brings joy and makes everyone smile and now they’re all going to bring joy to him and make him smile.”

“It’s my birthday!” Cameron said.

Jeanne and Randy say they’re thankful for the parents who helped make Cameron’s birthday so special.
