VENICE, Fla. (SNN TV) — A 73-year-old Wisconsin woman is dead and two were seriously injured after a crash in Sarasota County.
Florida Highway Patrol said the crash happened Friday morning on U.S. 41 and 1745 South Tamiami Trail in Venice.
A 74-year-old Wisconsin man and his elderly passenger were driving a sedan south on US-41 and were on the left turn lane to Lowe’s.
A Venice man was driving in a pickup truck north on US-41 at the same time.
When the 74-year-old turned in front of the pickup, they collided.
The woman in the sedan was pronounced dead, while the two men were seriously injured.
