LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. (SNN TV) — Lakewood Ranch is turning 30, and one of the ways to celebrate will be at Waterside Place, located at 7500 Island Cove Terrace.

Sarasota-based projection mapping artists Dave Gordon and Elln Hagney have created an immersive week-long projection mapped outdoor exhibit.

The event began Jan. 14 and runs through Jan. 20.

Guests can stroll throughout the Waterside Place town center, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the best viewing, and explore the exhibit titled, “Ranch Reflections: An Art and Light Exhibition.”

The weeklong celebration features more than nine projection mapped artworks that range from expansive three-story moving murals, to intimate micro projections no larger than a shoebox.

The artists will discuss the stories behind their art Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday starting at 6:00 p.m. is Ranch Nites, an outdoor markets with food trucks, music, and corn hole.

The event is free to attend.

Lakewood Ranch is now home to more than 6,600 residents.
