SARASOTA – A multi-vehicle crash causes minor traffic delays on a busy road in Sarasota.
The crash happened just as rush hour was about to begin on Fruitville Road near Beneva Road. Spokeswoman for Sarasota Police Genevieve Judge tells us two of the three eastbound lanes between Lockwood Ridge and Beneva on Fruitville were closed while officers cleared the scene.
Three vehicles are involved in the crash. One person was taken to a local hospital as a trauma alert, no word on the extent of that person’s injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
