It's the last weekend to Early Vote!

SARASOTA COUNTY (WSNN) – Election Day is only a few days away, and if you plan to vote on Tuesday, check your polling places.

Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Ron Turner says COVID’s effect on poll workers and spacing requirements is forcing them to consolidate some of the county’s polling places.

They’re the same as the temporary polling places during the primary elections.

But, you still have this weekend to early vote!

Sarasota County Voter, Andrew Hartman, cast his vote Saturday morning.

“I think it’s too important to stay home and not vote,” Harman said. “And I think here in Sarasota, in Florida, they’ve voting very easy and so, it’s all the more reason why you should not stay home. Get out and vote because it’s important. Without the vote, no democracy.”

As of Friday, Turner says “More than 200,000 voters have already cast their votes for the November 3 election, including 70,000 early voters.”
