MANATEE COUNTY (WSNN) – The medical foster mom we covered last week has reached her halfway mark on GoFundMe, thanks to the generosity of the Suncoast, and more.

Virginia or “Gini” White is in the process of adopting her seventh child, but he has a severe genetic disorder requiring him to be in a wheelchair.

She says the van they have isn’t enough for him, so her son and wife created GoFundMe with a goal of $40,000.

As of Tuesday afternoon, they’ve raised over $21,000.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Gini said. “You have touched me; you have touched everyone in this house who helps with these kids. You have given me so much. And there are so many more children out there that I will be able to help, because of all of you.”

Gini helps the most fragile children in the foster care system.

The money will be going towards a new van, a ramp for the house, and a new bathroom.
