SARASOTA (WSNN) – A Sarasota tradition of more than 50 years is going from indoors to outdoors.

The Showfolks of Sarasota presents “Showfolks Holiday Circus Festival” in a  unique open-air setting this weekend.

It’s held at the Sarasota Fairgrounds from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

There are more than 25 live acts from your local flying Wallenda’s High Wire act to your puppet shows, and even flipping dogs. Yes, they flip.

30 food and merchant vendors are also on the grounds.

And we can’t forget jolly old Saint Nick. Photo ops with him will be free, but limited, with Santa behind a safety shield.

“We used to have it in Robarts Arena, which was actually a regular circus performance, but due to COVID restrictions and having that many people in the building, we decided to try something different, and put it on the open air and have all our performers spread out so that not everybody has to stay in one place to see a show,” Showfolks of Sarasota President Jeffrey Brusky said.

You can safely celebrate your holiday season with America’s finest circus personalities and your favorite animals.

The festival encourages masks, social distancing, and it has hand sanitizer stations. Sunday is the last day.

Tickets are 10-dollars. For more information, click here.
