SARASOTA – The pandemic won’t stop Asolo Rep from bringing the holiday cheer. Starting this week, Asolo Rep presents We Need A Little Christmas. It’s a holiday concert under the stars, taking place on Asolo Rep’s newly built outdoor stage. Associate Artistic Director Celine Rosenthal says after COVID-19 forced the theatre to put on virtual shows, We Need A Little Christmas is the perfect way to bring people music, safely.
“You miss that connection,” Rosenthal said, “and there is something that’s just unparalleled when it comes to sitting across from a live human being that’s three-dimensional, under the beautiful Sarasota sky.”
The show previews Thursday and officially begins Friday, Dec. 18. It runs thru Jan. 3. There are 200 seats available for each show, safely spaced out. Click here to purchase your tickets.
