SARASOTA – More bad news on the Suncoast.
As Sarasota Police is investigating a separate deadly crash this morning that killed one person and injured two others.
Investigators are reporting the crash happened just before 4 .m. At the South Tamiami Trail and North Washington Boulevard split in Sarasota.
Officers believe the driver was traveling northbound on U.S. 41 when the failed to take the westbound curve onto Tamiami Trail and hit a light pole and a tree
One passenger died at the scene as a result of their injuries.
The driver and the other passenger were transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with life threatening injuries.
