BRADENTON – New details have been released in a Manatee County shooting investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office reports the three suspects involved may have also stolen a car during the shooting spree spanning three crime scenes.

Right now, more unanswered questions about Monday’s shooting as investigators piece together just what happened.

Manatee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Randy Warren says occupants of a silver Hyundai started shooting at a white Ford Flex near 9th Street West and 11th Avenue West within the City of Bradenton. Crime Scene number one.

“One of those vehicles crashed,” said Lieutenant Krista Kerul. “There were three male subjects that fled that scene.”

The crash occurred at the corner of 12th Street West and 11th Avenue West. Crime scene number two.

Lt. Kerul told reporters Monday night one of the suspects 21-year-old Anthony Dawson was found attempting to hide in an apartment parking lot in the 1300 block of 18th Avenue West. Crime Scene number three

SWAT and K-9 units were deployed to locate the two other male suspects. Deputies have yet to release any information or descriptions of the two men they’re looking for. 

For now, Dawson is facing charges of Resisting Arrest and Obstruction and Motor Vehicle Theft.

Deputies tell SNN during the shooting investigation deputies learned the silver Hyundai was stolen earlier in the day out of Okeechobee County.

Both suspects remain at large as does the driver of the Ford Flex and even the vehicle.  Deputies have also revealed narcotics were found inside the Hyundai Dawson was driving.

No reports of injuries have been released. The case remains very active.
