SARASOTA COUNTY (WSNN) – We have some sad news to report, from a family here on the Suncoast many of us have grown to admire and love
The Wallenda’s are known for their daredevil and highwire acts.
On Saturday, Rick Wallenda, who heads the family’s original Wallenda enterprises, posted on Facebook that his mom, Carla Wallenda, passed away.
He says, quote, “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of one of the greatest performers of all time, and my mother, Carla Wallenda. Just one day after the anniversary of my brother Mario’s passing.”
Carla is the daughter of the original Wallenda troupe of Karl and Helen.
