MANATEE COUNTY (WSNN) – A woman is stabbed, beaten, and left for dead in Bradenton this past weekend.
At around 6:00 Sunday night, someone found a woman beaten and bleeding outside the Sarabay Coves apartment complex near Whitfield Avenue.
Deputies arrested Benjamin Merrell at the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.
Merrel is charged with attempted murder and animal abuse charges for hurting a dog that was at the condo.
