(WSNN) – Among the safer states during the COVID pandemic, the Sunshine State is not one of them.

According to an article on WalletHub, Florida is ranked 40.

This is based on vaccinations, positive tests, hospitalizations, deaths, and the estimated transition rate.

Florida is under the high COVID-death rate category with a 36 rating. And has a low vaccination rating of 38.

The top five safest states right now are New Hampshire, Hawaii, Alaska, Kansas, and Vermont.

Around 23 percent of the nation has been fully vaccinated.
