SARASOTA – COVID was no laughing matter to McCurdy’s Comedy Theater, but after over a year of being closed, McCurdy’s returned this summer. And the theater is getting help from noted comedian Ron White in August.

We talked to Les McCurdy, the owner, on how COVID affected his business, how Ron White is helping, and why trying to reopen last fall doesn’t work out.
