SARASOTA – Ringling College alumni worked on two big recent video game releases.

Madden 2022 is a long-standing franchise with yearly releases. This year’s version of the game features Tampa’s own Tom Brady who, as Ringling Professor Martin Murphy shared, has been in football games since the late 1990s. Madden 2022 also features a stadium effect, where a home team crowd can screw up receivers’ routes, or players from opposing teams may have less stamina playing in Denver. Madden 2022 is available on the Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is available on the Playstation 5 and Playstation 4. The original Ghost of Tsushima released in summer of 2020, and the Director’s Cut has additional content, including a brand new area to explore in Iki Island. The game puts you in the shoes of Jin Sakai who is repelling a Mongol Invasion. At the beginning of the game, talks with the Mongols go wrong as samurai are killed, his uncle is captured, and he’s injured. Ghost of Tsushima adds new elements in addition to the new island, and it keeps the exploration aspect in the new content — Ghost of Tsushima uses nature and sights to discover additional stories and missions, with golden birds and foxes guiding the player to missions, helpful items, and other costumes and equipment.

Our thanks and congratulations go out to the Ringling Alumni who helped these games become reality.
