SARASOTA – No tricks, but many treats! Selby Gardens welcomed trick-or-treaters to their annual Selby spooktacular event. 

“Year after year the families really look forward to celebrating Halloween here at Selby Gardens,” said President and CEO of Marie Selby Gardens, Jennifer Rominiecki. 

Hundreds of trick or treaters made their way to Selby Gardens Halloween morning

“Lots of activities for kids, there’s safe trick or treating, we have face painting, balloons artistry a wonderful corn maze,” said Rominiecki. 

The Suncoast was treated to perfect fall weather just in time for the spooky event

“Its outdoors, it’s nice, natures around, and he loves it, and a bunch of his friends from school are here so it can’t get any better,” said Trick-or-Treaters, Mateo and Jaime. 

For many, Selby gardens is frequent spot for family outings

“We love the garden; we come here like two three times a month, so it’s a great experience, he’s doing awesome,” said Jaime. 

“They did a really good job this year, it’s a big big turn out this year, we came last year and it wasn’t as many people, I’m assuming because of COVID but this year it’s really great, it turned out very well,” said Trick-or-Treaters, Sherri and Jordan.

“The Rominiecki family is reenacting the end of empire strikes back from star wars,” said President and CEO, Jennifer Rominiecki. 

“It’s wonderful to see the families out in the open air, in a safe environment here in the gardens enjoying Halloween,” said  Rominiecki.
