BRADENTON (SNN-TV) – For their Thanksgiving holiday, the SCF Manatees are playing host in the Florida vs. Georgia Thanksgiving JUCO Basketball Classic.
The three day event will see six different Junior College teams, 3 from the Sunshine State and 3 from Georgia, playing in a round-robin style event showcasing some of the best college basketball talent.
The Manatees will play South Georgia Tech tomorrow, Georgia Highlands on Friday and Albany Tech on Saturday.
Albany Tech, Indian River and Eastern Florida State are each ranked in the Top-25 of the NJCAA Rankings and are participants in the event.
Coach Tom Parks Manatees will use the Classic to improve upon their 6-3 record so far this season.
The festivities begin tomorrow at noon, with Eastern Florida State taking on Albany State from Hal Chasey Gymnasium.
