ATLANTA (SNN-TV) – Police say former NFL wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was found dead at his home in Roswell, Georgia.

He was 33 years old, and would have turned 34 on Christmas day.

Police say according to preliminary information, his death stemmed from a medical issue.

Thomas played 10 seasons in the NFL and is considered one of the best wide receivers in Denver Broncos history.

He spent the majority of his career with Denver, winning two AFC Championships and Super Bowl 50. He was traded to the Houston Texans during the 2018 season. He later finished his career with the New York Jets and announced his retirement in June.
