BRADENTON (SNN-TV) – Southeast High School boy’s soccer coach Deputy David Mireles was selected by the NFHS as the soccer coach of the year.

In addition to being the soccer coach, Mireles is the School Resource Officer at Southeast. Mireles became the first soccer coach in Southeast history to earn this honor.

Last season, Mireles led his team to the first winning season in nearly a decade. Mireles credits this award to his student-athletes and coaching staff.

He will now represent the State of Florida for the National Coach of the Year award.
