SARASOTA – The COVID testing site was supposed to open today, and hundreds of Suncoast residents were ready to get tested. However, the site never opened, and those who were waiting were not tested at the site.
SNN reached out to the Sarasota County Department of Health, who were unaware that the site did not open. We have now confirmed that the site is closed for the day. If you need to be tested, it will have to be done at the Robert L. Taylor Community Complex or the former Sarasota Kennel Club, but prepare for very long waits at these locations.
