SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – While undergoing chemotherapy for his lymphoma, the Suncoast’s Dick Vitale received great news regarding his upcoming Gala.
Former Michigan State walk-on turned billionaire, Mat Ishbia and his brother Justin, each are donating $1M to the Dick Vitale Gala to help pediatric cancer patients through the V foundation.
Vitale’s goal this year for his gala is $7 million, which would bring the total raised through the V Foundation for Cancer Research to more than $50 million.
Vitale and the Ishbia brothers have a mutual connection with Michigan State basketball coach, Tom Izzo.
Dickie V’s Gala will be held May 6th here in Sarasota. All money goes through The V Foundation and supports pediatric cancer research.
