VENICE (SNN-TV) – After a weekend visit in Tuscaloosa, one of Venice High School’s top stars has made his collegiate commitment.

4-star defensive back, Elliott Washington, has committed to play for Nick Saban and the University of Alabama.

In his junior campaign, Washington compiled 58 total tackles and tied for the team lead in interceptions with 4.

Washington was a key part of a stout defense, that helped Venice reach and win the 8A State Championship. A group that held their opponents to roughly 10 points-per-game.

Washington commits to Alabama over offers from a host of power-5 schools including, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Michigan and LSU.
