SARASOTA – It’s fashion forward leading up to the annual Thunder By The Bay

“Thunder by The Bay Rocks the Runway it’s going to be a first annual event but we hope to repeat it year after year,” said Suncoast Charities for Children Executive Director, Lucy Nicandri.

Over 40 models will take the runway Thursday modeling fashions from Rossiter’s Harley Davidson and Darci’s

“Tickets are $125 dollars per person and that includes not only that high energy fashion show but an open bar and delicious hors d’oeuvres stations at the Sarasota Yacht Club,” said Nicandri.

Two of the models participating will be SNN’s very own Cynthia McLaughlin and Justin Mosely

“My first job was actually runway modeling back in high school, I signed with my agency when I was fifteen I was 5’10 so it made me feel more confident about my height and a lot of the shows we’re actually for charities, I didn’t make a dime but it was a really fun job I’m so excited to get back and be a part of rocks the runway,” said SNN Evening Anchor, Cynthia McLaughlin.

And as far SNN’s Chief Meteorologists outfits…

“It’s a little different from what you normally see me wear on TV, some bike gear in the mix as we head into Thursday,” said SNN’s Chief Meteorologist, Justin Mosely.

All the proceeds raised by Thunder by the Bay benefit six non-profit agencies that serve over 8 thousand children, teens and adults with special needs from Charlotte to Pinellas County.

“All the money that’s raised, stays here locally, and over the past 23 years I’m happy to say that over 2.1 million dollars has been raised for those with special needs right here in our local community,” said Nicandri.
