The Sarasota County Sherriff’s office arrested 19-year-old Christopher Munoz for selling drugs near a Sarasota Church.

He was caught with methamphetamines‘, OxyContin, and a firearm near the freedom Christian Church on Nassau street. This isn’t Munoz’s first run in with the law, he has convictions dating back to 2020 in Sarasota county.

A local resident says he’s worried for his family and was shocked this happened so close to the church. A state law passed in July 2021 says neighbors can no longer make anonymous code complaints, leaving many silent.

According to the arrest report, Munoz was charged with 4 counts of sale of methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a Church, and 1 count off unlawful use of a two way communication device.

He is currently being held at the Sarasota County Jail.
