SNN Morning Weather

Good morning, Suncoast! There is a front passing through this morning that is creating lower temperatures and drier conditions. The front will be bringing in cool northern air while the sun is rising, so temperatures will be moderate for today. The high is only 68°F with a low tonight in the high 40s. Dew points will be low as well, so make sure that chap stick is handy and umbrellas at home. The next time we might see rain isn't until Thursday associated with another front, and that is a very slight chance. This upcoming weekend will be a 50/50 weekend. Saturday will be warm with a high in the mid 70s, and partly cloudy. Whereas Sunday will have scattered showers with, yet again, another front. Monday is when we will see much cooler temperatures rush back in with highs in the low 60s.

Hello Sarasota, Meteorologist Eric Kasunich here with the Max Defender weather update.

Yesterday was a gloomy and dreary dad. There were a lot a cloudy cover, a chilly breezy and a few sprinkles around the area. That is exactly what you can expect for your Friday as well. We are starting out gloomy with thick overcast clouds overhead. Today will be mostly dry around the area, however there is about a 10% chance for off and on showers throughout the day.

If you need to get any chores completed or just simply want to be outdoors, Saturday is your day to do it. There is a high of 74°F forecasted on Saturday with only a slight chance of showers, mainly in the evening, ahead of a front. As the front passes, widespread showers and possible thunderstorms are in store for Sunday.

Monday is when the dry, cold air will filter in from the north decreasing our daytime highs to about the high 50s! That is cold considering the average this time of the year is 72°. The cold air will stick around through Tuesday. Tuesday is when we can expect another front to bring some more widespread showers. Prepare for a cold and rainy next week.

Have a great weekend and stay tuned for updates.

Good morning, Suncoast! Meteorologist Eric Kasunich here with your Max Defender weather update.

Yesterday was a bit gloomy and dreary with a high of only 65°F, which is 7°F below the average of 72°F. Today will be quite similar before the pattern starts to change tomorrow. This morning, temperatures are starting out in the mid to low 50s across the region, with overcast clouds. Expected to warm up to a high of 65°F. There is a slight chance, about 10%, that some areas will see light sprinkles today as the cold, dreary conditions continue.

A frontal system will move through on Saturday night into Sunday morning, increasing our rain chances. Saturday will be the nicest day to enjoy the outdoors if you're starting to get cabin fever from all the cold weather, with a high of 74°F. However, there will be a few showers and above-average temperatures before the front arrives on Saturday night. Sunday will be cloudy, with widespread showers throughout the day and even a possible thunderstorm.

After the front sweeps through, cooler, drier air will move in, decreasing our temperatures for Monday and Tuesday. Expect lows in the 40s and highs in the mid-60s on those days.

Good morning, Suncoast! Meteorologist Eric Kasunich with you Max Defender Weather update.

A cloudy day is in store for today before a weak cold front push through tomorrow. The high for today is about 67°F places inland might be a bit cooler. Dew points are in the 40s, so there is a very dry air mass over us at the moment. This will dry out our skin, so make sure that lotion is handy. However, there is a possibility of a few sprinkles this evening. If you do see rain, it will be few a far between and very light.

Tomorrow will be a repeat of today except there are higher rain chances, associated with a front that will descend over us. This is a weak front so the temperatures will not drop drastically, but still remain a few degrees the climatic average of 72°F for this time of year. If you have weekend plans, Saturday is the better of the two days to be outside. Although it will be cloudy, the high will be in the mid 70s and be a nice break from the below average temperatures.

Next week, there is a large trough dipping down into the US which will promote a significant cool down for the entire eastern side of the country. The Suncoast sits right on the edge of this artic air mass. So even though we will see lower than average temperatures, they will be only moderately below, compared to our neighbors to the north.
