NORTH PORT, Fla. (SNN TV) – North Port residents are encouraged to donate during the parade next Saturday.

The Poinsettia Parade & Festival, presented by Quality TV, is Dec. 2 at 5 p.m., while the festival takes place before and after the parade.

In the past, the parade has featured more than 50 units, including local businesses and organization, according to the city of North Port.

The Poinsettia Festival will feature the annual tree lighting ceremony as well as mobile food vendors, entertainment, attractions, merchandise vendors, and more.

Free parking is available at the City Center campus and Morgan Family Community Center. A complimentary shuttle will be available from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

North Port Parks & Rec asks to bring canned goods, toys or hygiene products to the Poinsettia Parade & Festival this Saturday to donate to the city’s 12 Days of Giving drive.
