SARASOTA (SNN-TV) – Unfortunate news to start sports tonight, as it is with great sadness that we share the passing of former SNN Helping Hand recipient, Beau Christensen.
Beau, a 2022 graduate of Cardinal Mooney, and former Cougars and Riverview Rams linebacker, passed away Saturday after a 28 month battle with brain cancer.
Cardinal Mooney released a statement earlier today on the school’s Facebook page saying that, “Beau will always be remembered for his courage, positive outlook, and huge smile that could warm up a room. Please remember the Christensen family with heartfelt prayers during this difficult time.”
A Funeral Mass will take place at 1pm this Friday, September 29th at Incarnation Catholic Church on Bee Ridge Road, here in Sarasota.
