Restaurants that offer takeout, delivery, grocery items, and toilet paper with takeout

COVID Selling Things

As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, many local Suncoast restaurants are changing how they operate as more people stay home. Our partners at the Sarasota Herald-Tribune helped compile this information.

Several restaurants are offering discounts for takeout orders. Gecko’s Grill and Pub is offering a 40% discount to food and service workers if they come with proof via a pay stub. Made Restaurant is offering a 20% discount for service workers with proof of a pay stub.

Many restaurants on the Suncoast are pushing takeout, curbside and/or dockside options. Pop’s Sunset Grill offers dockside pickup. 3 Keys has closed their dining room and switched to takeout only. The Artisan Cheese Company offers a walk-up window for takeout.

Some restaurants in the area offer delivery or both take-out and delivery. Five Star Pizza is hiring delivery drivers and temp workers while they remain open to keep up with the increased amount of people who will be utilizing it. A Bite is an Italian store and bistro which just opened in downtown Sarasota, but due to the timing, they are operating on a closed-door takeout and delivery basis for now. Michael’s On East is offering a “Michael’s at Home” program that offers a three-course dinner for two and bottle of wine. The three-course meal is $79.95-$99.95. Use the promo code “MICHAELSATHOME” for 15% off your first order of $100 or more.

Some restaurants are selling grocery items now and baking fresh bread. Grove Restaurant offers wheat and white bread. All restaurants are operating on a first come, first served basis. For paper products, they’re offering one roll of any item, not a whole package.

In addition to take-out, Swordfish Grill & Tiki Bar in Cortez is giving complimentary toilet paper (one roll) with each takeout order. Make sure you ask them if they still have some available before making an order.
