Women in Business Hear Me Roar ceremony

HEAR ME ROAR CEREMONY

SARASOTA- “Women are incredible leaders. We are the uber-multitaskers and we bring strengths to the world of business that are unparalleled,” said Ashley Grant.

The 5th Annual SRQ Hear Me Roar Award ceremony brought women from all over the Suncoast to celebrate women in business. SRQ Media’s Ashley Grant says this event creates a community of women who can lean on and learn from each other.

“There’s a lot of women sharing their stories, stories of challenges that they’ve overcome. It gives hope and it gives optimism for other women, that they too may achieve their dreams,” said Grant.

Katy McBrayer and Ana Hagimasuri came out to support other women in business and encourage future business women on the Suncoast.

“There’s a lot of men supporting men in business, but I think it’s really important to create a culture especially starting with young women that encourages women to support other women,” said McBrayer.

Women got the chance to hear from keynote speakers making a difference in the business world all while promoting their own business. Entrepreneurs Lauren and Candice Henry hosted a Lily Pulitzer pop-up boutique, representing a brand they say is all about female empowerment.

“I think the scene is set and ready for lots of female entrepreneurs to step out there and women in a business at any level to get out there and show what we can do,” said Candice Henry.

Despite the struggles a women in business may face,  with a community as strong as this one Grant says there is no stopping them.

“Were better together and we can change the world,” said Grant.
