MANATEE COUNTY (WSNN) – The “Women 4 Trump” group holds a peaceful flag-waving event in Manatee County on Saturday.
It’s called “Party in the Pasture.”
If you’ve seen this Trump trailer on I-75, that’s where about 40 people rallied, waving their flags for Trump.
Board of Director and coordinator, Marnie Matarese, says it’s meant to be a peaceful and uplifting experience for grassroots supporters of the president.
She says the goal is to get people out from behind the keyboards.
“Elections are not won from people on Facebook fighting back and forth, so we try to get our people to come outside, enjoy the outdoors and be able to speak to each other and feel positive about the election,” Matarese said. “That’s the secret to a better America; just be kind.”
Matarese says she just wants people to respect opinions and go forward being kind.
The group plans to hold more events ahead of the elections.
