SARASOTA – The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe is approved for an American Rescue Plan grant by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
According to the Herald-Tribune, WBTT is recommended to receive $50,000 over the next two years.
WBTT says this will go toward artistic team salaries.
The grants from the American Rescue Plan, passed by congressional Democrats and signed by President Biden, are to help arts and cultural sector recover from COVID.
The NEA will award grants totaling more than $57.7 million to 567 arts organizations in America.
