SARASOTA COUNTY (WSNN) – A Suncoast singer blows up on social media, and the Venice High graduate shares her journey to the top with SNN.

“Magic happens when you least expect it,” JADA said.

That’s the reality for Hannah Wasserman who now goes by ‘JADA.’ She left Sarasota County for Nashville after she graduated from Venice High School in 2017.

“I’ve always had this sort of musical dream,” JADA said.

But when COVID-19 hit in 2020, the entertainment industry shut down completely.

“I just thought to myself, how can I continue to move forward,” JADA said. “I was playing every single night in the city, Nashville, with my keyboard on my shoulder, just hauling myself to all these shows. And that all came to a halting stop.”

That’s when she turned to TikTok, but, she didn’t have any traction until the end of that year.

“All of sudden, thousands of views started pouring in and comments and shares and I mean I’m liking shaking now even thinking about it because it was so shocking to me,” JADA said.

Her first viral video happened when she sang one of her favorite songs, ‘Deliver Us’ from the movie Prince of Egypt.

“It was just this magical moment that I just did out of pure love of singing and wanting to hear the sound and feel the music,” JADA said.

She almost took it down when it sat with no views for a day. But by the end of the *next* day… it had over a *million* views.

“To think I almost deleted what became,” JADA said. “What sort of propelled me forward, it’s too crazy, so you have to believe in yourself!

Her repertoire went from singing pop songs in Nashville to singing musical theatre on social media.

“It has changed my life completely,” JADA said. “Because everyday I wake up and there are thousands of people who just want to hear me sing and that has been my dream from the beginning.”

A highlight from her social media fame is when the ‘Dune’ movie account commented on a recent viral video she did singing a song from that movie.

“I had thousands of people tagging them in the comments trying to get their attention and they actually responded saying ‘you really did that,’ and I’m like ‘thank you,'” JADA said.

An agent from Untitled Entertainment got her a manager. And now she’s auditioning, hoping to get on Broadway and continuing to write music. She plans to release some original songs with the year.

“If you don’t dream big, why are you dreaming?” JADA questioned.
