UCW bigger than ever after ‘Big Bang’

PALMETTO (SNN-TV) – Based out of Palmetto, Universal Championship Wrestling returned to the ring last night for one of their biggest shows to date, the Big Bang!

The event was big in more ways than one, as a capacity crowd filled the UCW Hall in Palmetto, while the ring was packed full with 20-plus superstars taking part in the Universal Rumble. The Rumble, a known concept throughout professional wrestling, is a battle-royal style match, with opponents being eliminated by being thrown over the top-rope.

Also getting bigger? UCW’s community outreach, as they’re partnering with groups like The Haven and Rice’s Appliance & Bedding Center for shows like yesterday’s Big Bang.

With company morale, output and popularity at all-time highs following events like the Manatee County Fair and Thunder by the Bay, UCW is becoming a magnet for new talent as well, like Tampa-based wrestler Hardcore Horvath, the winner of last night’s Universal Rumble.

“I’ve only been wrestling for UCW about 3-4 months, I think. Quickly it’s becoming a home to me now. The owners take care of the wrestlers, the production’s amazing, the posters, the flyers, the way the ring looks, everything’s really cool. [There’s] a lot of great wrestlers in the locker room to work with as well.” – Hardcore Horvath

With shows once a month, Universal Championship Wrestling‘s next event is Cosmic Collision on Sunday, May 21st at the UCW Hall in Palmetto connected to the El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant.
