LAKEWOOD RANCH (SNN-TV) – Two local players qualified for the Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic that will be played this weekend at Lakewood National Golf Club.
Current Saint Stephen’s Episcopal student-athlete Beni Long and Riverview High graduate Michael Visacki finished among the top four at the LECOM Qualifier at Laurel Oak Country Club in Sarasota. Both Long and Visacki shot 8-under-par 64s to finish tied for second behind David Sanders, who qualified with a 63.
Long, who will graduate from Saint Stephen’s this spring and plans to attend the University of Kansas, and Visacki, a 2012 graduate of Riverview High, carded his 64 by making five birdies, two eagles and one bogey.
Long and Visacki will be going off at the same time in the final group at 2:37 p.m. tomorrow in the $1M event.
