BRADENTON – Helping change lives, one haircut at a time.

Nearly a year into the pandemic, turning points, non-profit providing services to prevent and reduce homelessness, brought back their monthly trims for those in need.

A total of 20 people got a free haircut this morning. Jackie Love, was one of the many who said it has been over a year since she has gotten a haircut.

Love says she’s grateful for all the services the organization provides.

“It makes you feel better about yourself, because usually when your homeless you don’t have those kinds of resources, its hard to take a bath, your clothes are dirty, especially if it rains, your soaked, and you need showers, its something you have to have and the people around here are so for you and very positive and helpful and that helps you achieve what you want to achieve,” said Jackie Love, one of the 20 who got a haircut.

Turning Points hopes to continue the service every month. If you are a barber or hairstylist on the Suncoast, you can reach out to them through their website.
