TAMPA (SNN-TV) – Buccaneers QB Tom Brady looked sharp yesterday in Day 1 of joint practices with the Dolphins, but today was absent, and will be absent moving forward for a few days.
Bucs HC Todd Bowles said today that Tom Brady will be away from the team for a period of time to “deal with some personal things”. Bowles said Brady’s absence was discussed in advance and that he will return after next week’s preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on August 20th. The issue is not health-related, and Brady will be the starting quarterback in Week 1 at the Dallas Cowboys.
Brady had excused absences August 3rd, his 45th birthday, and also was off last Friday.
